Who doesn't love Footloose? Anyone up for a remake?

I'm not talking about the Hollywood remake that was in the air either.  I'm talking about an honest to goodness salt of the earth filmmaker remake.  One that was in response to said Hollywood remake.  Well, it's on Vimeo now in all it's quirky glory: http://vimeo.com/13828376

For me, it was inspiring to see people collectively creating something together. The filming isn't quite to my taste on the remake, but it is creative, and that I can appreciate. My favourite part was the intro with the feet. The remake also prompted me to pull out my VHS copy of Footloose and watch it all over again and that, my friends, was great.

Here's a quote from their Vimeo page:
"In October 2008 it was announced that Paramount Pictures and Dylan Sellers Productions would be remaking the classic Footloose, starring Zac Efron. We were fed up. The Hollywood remake machine was going to take another solid movie, put it through the ringer, and make a buck from a younger generation.

We decided “Let’s beat them to the punch. Let’s do this remake our way.”
